Copyright Policy

Palett respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and will respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on our platform, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include the following information required by the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. Physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (please provide URLs or other specific information)
  4. Contact information including your address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest

Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the content that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the content appeared before it was removed or disabled
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in New York, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to our platform and terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

False Claims

Please be aware that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for damages if you knowingly materially misrepresent that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.
